Monitoring and Evaluation Trials: New South Wales Region Western Catchment
Product Information
The National Land and Water Resource Audit (NLWRA) conducted a series of “Monitoring and Evaluation Trials” in association with States and the Northern Territory to assess the capacity and usefulness of regions to report against the national indicators at a regional level. The trials also aimed to look at the capacity of regions to report on the effectiveness of NHT II and NAP investment using regional data and to identify potential improvements in reporting systems within and between States/Territories. Part 1 of the trials is a “Scoping Study of Existing Information” while Part 2 is concerned with “Improving Data Systems”.
This report presents the findings from Phase 1 of the Monitoring and Evaluation Trial in New South Wales using the Western Catchment as one of the two trial regions in the State.
