Intensive Land Use Zone
The National Land & Water Resources Audit (the Audit) is assisting with the collation of information for the 'intensive land use zone' as a result of a workshop held in August 2004, with representatives from Australian Government, state and territory agencies and some regional organisations.
Workshop participants discussed the needs for integrated regional assessments and identified a number of possible activities that the Audit could undertake:
- a national catchment condition assessment-scoping study
- regional reporting
- case studies of current regional/catchment integrated assessment
The Audit Advisory Council Reference Group was formed to provided advice and comment to the Audit on the development of the projects.
